BCoD Patient Impact Award
Celebrating Excellence in Patient Advocacy, Access, and Care
The BCoD Patient Impact Award recognizes exceptional contributions by biologic coordinators and dermatology professionals who have created measurable, positive change for patients with dermatologic conditions.
This annual award celebrates individuals whose work has directly improved patient outcomes, access to biologic therapies, or quality of life through tangible, documented achievements in clinical practice, patient advocacy, and care coordination.
What We Celebrate
The BCoD Patient Impact Award honors work that demonstrates:
- Tangible outcomes in improving dermatology access and quality of patient care
- Measurable patient impact with documented results
Award Recognition
Each year, one outstanding individual will be selected to receive the BCoD Patient Impact Award and be recognized for their dedication to improving the patient experience.
Award Package Includes
- Round-trip travel to the BCoD November Conference
- Hotel accommodations for the duration of the conference
- Formal award presentation during the conference
- Recognition in BCoD conference materials and communications
- Featured profile on the BCoD website and social media channels
Eligibility
The BCoD Patient Impact Award is open to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional impact in patient care and biologic therapy coordination.
Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged.
Nomination Requirements
To be considered, nominations must include the following materials:
Nominator Information
- Full name and contact information
- Organization or affiliation
- Relationship to the nominee (if applicable)
Nominee Information
- Full name and contact information
- Current position and organization
Resume or Curriculum Vitae
Submit a current CV or résumé (maximum three pages) highlighting relevant experience and accomplishments.
Impact Statement (500 Words Maximum)
The impact statement should clearly address the following areas:
1. Specific Challenge Addressed
- What patient need or barrier was identified?
- Why was this challenge significant?
- What was the scope of the problem?
2. Actions Taken
- What specific steps did the nominee take?
- What resources, partnerships, or strategies were employed?
- What was the nominee’s unique role or contribution?
3. Measurable Outcomes and Impact
- What concrete results were achieved?
- How many patients were affected?
- What metrics demonstrate success?
- What timeline was involved?
4. Patient Population Affected
- How were patients directly involved or consulted?
5. Supporting Documentation (Optional but Encouraged)
Supporting materials may include:
- Letters of support from patients
- Letters of support from colleagues or employers
- Additional documentation demonstrating impact and outcomes
