As part of our ongoing spotlight series, we spoke Amy Brennan, Prior Authorization Coordinator and BCoD CE Chair at Dermatology Associates, to get a glimpse into her world—from figure skating dreams to her passion for patient access. With eight years of experience and a heart for helping others, Amy brings compassion and energy to the BCoD community. Here’s what she shared.

Q: What is an interesting fact about you that we would not find on your resume?
A: I enjoy cooking and traveling.

Q: What was your first job?
A: Daycare attendee at a gym.

Q: What does a typical weekend look like for you?
A: Chasing my 18-month-old around the house.

Q: What motivates you?
A: My family.

Q: What is your favorite place you’ve ever travelled to?
A: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Q: What is the first thing you’d buy if you won the lottery?
A: Land.

Q: If you could be a pro at any Olympic Sport, which one would you choose?
A: Figure skating.

A: 8 years.

A: I fell into the job and fell in love with it.

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping patients. I love helping my patients to access their medications.

Q: What excites you about your involvement in BCoD?
A: I love learning new things and collaborating with others. I’m so excited to be a part of this BC organization.
